Introduction:

Omnitech Robotics Inc. has developed the TOUGHBOT to give military, law enforcement, search and rescue and first responder personnel a small yet mobile audio and video surveillance device for a broad range of applications.

• Aids in clearing buildings with a minimum of exposure:
• See and hear the situation in a building or room before entering
• Can be used for distraction prior to entry
• Search hard to reach places for personnel or contraband
• Can be lowered on a string down wells, pipes, or mine shafts
• Can be driven inside air ducts

TOUGHBOT Features:

• Rugged and Reliable, allows throwing and dropping up to 20 feet vertically, routinely without damage
• Light Weight: TOUGHBOT: 2 lb; OCU: 1 lb
• Wireless audio, video, and control link between Robot and Operator Control Unit (OCU)
• The OCU has a 2.5” color display and an audio/video plug for a head mounted display
• Operating range up to 300 feet typical. Optional long range version up to 3000 feet range.
• Remote Controlled Mobility using a simple joystick
• Two Color Cameras, wide and narrow field of view with lights
• Audio uplink and downlink
• Typical operating time 1 hour on rechargeable batteries
• Cost Effective used for distraction prior to entry
• Search hard to reach places for personnel or contraband
• Can be lowered on a string down wells, pipes, or mine shafts
• Can be driven inside air ducts

TOUGHBOT provides operators with an extra set of eyes and ears in a rugged, throwable 6 inch tall package.
