High-Quality Miniature Fisheye Lens With 190 Degree Field of View

The ORIFL190-3 is a high quality fisheye lens that provides a 190 degree field of view. Compatibility with many web-camera, circuit board and bullet style cameras is provided with the standard “micro mount” 12mm x 0.5mm pitch mounting thread. A high quality 180 degree hemispherical field of view can be reliably extracted using digital image processing of the digital image, or the entire image can be displayed in its unaltered form. The ORIFL190-3 is optimized for small size and high image quality. The circular image produced is 3.4 mm in diameter allowing typical 1/3 inch format cameras/sensors to capture a symmetrical hemispherical image.

The optical resolution and sharpness of the lens is superior to that of typical 1/3” image sensors (640×480 – 1280×1024) so resolution is governed by the image sensor, not the lens. The all aluminum lens body is small, at only 24 mm nominal diameter, yet the optics have excellent sharpness, contrast, field compression linearity, and field luminance and color correctness throughout the field of view. The glass lens construction and coated optics provide a 1.24 mm focal length and F/2.8 speed for good low light capability. The large primary lens uses an O-ring seal to provide water and humidity resistance.

Double Sealed Fisheye Lens

We offer a special build option to add a “double sealed” lens feature to the standard ORIFL190-3 Fisheye lens. This option adds two epoxy seals to the first (largest) lens, to assure the water tightness and air tightness of the lens. Externally and optically the two lenses are identical.
